We are making strides on the Welcome Home here in the Freedom Grounds. If it was not for the volunteer help of many we would not be where we are right now. Too many people to name, if I missed a name I would feel bad. We thank you dearly for all your hard work and support.
We have put in a lot of work the past week getting two of the bedrooms and the bathroom ready. All three of the rooms sit on the East side of the house, so we figured we would focus on that part first for flooring, plumbing, walls and ceiling. We got the plumbing done along with the flooring. Most of the wiring is done so we are going to be focusing on laying the tile in the bathroom, finish the walls and start putting up lights fixtures.
When finished, there will be two sinks in the bathroom, toilet, washer connections and a shower. For lighting, there will be two huge lights going across the ceiling. So, along with that comes all the pipe and wiring involved to get it all in motion. That’s what we have been working on the past few days.
We would like to send a big thank you to James Garland for driving over an hour to come and donate his Saturday to help with the house. Thank you!
In the coming days we are going to finish wiring up the bathroom and bedrooms. After that, we are going to be laying the tile in the bathroom, focusing on the plugs, switches and light fixtures. When finished, I will do another update article so everyone can keep up with the progress.
